Hello techie,

While I am creating lead when I give Product the following error is coming How do I resolve this please let me knw soon.

Item 10: Enter product information (product, product category or partner product)

Details Item 10: No item category could be determined.

Dear Tansim,

how the item category can be determined is shown in the customizing and is found under this path:

spro --> CRM --> Transactions --> Basic Settings --> Define Item Category Determination

You can further inverstigate how and which item category is found in function module:

CRM_ORDER_IT_ASSIGN_SELECT_CB

Hello,

I got resolved this issue by doing setting in spro for my transaction type and one more important thing whatever product we are going to use in our lead that must have to defined in our sales organisation from where we are selecting particular sales prospect which belongs to sales organisation.

Sales organisation->Sales Prospect->Product for this item category must have to maintain.

Have  you created new transaction type?

If yes, complete the process by configuring item category determination by following steps indicated by Markus.
