Hello,

I'm battling on how to convert a sales quote into a sales order in Sales Cloud V2.

Reading the documentation I can't find a straight way, besides create a sales order when the quote is accepted by the customer.

Any one could help me on this task? Appreciate any support that you could provide.

Regards,

Eduardo

Hi Eduardo,

An integrated Quote to Order process as we know or expect it from V1 does not yet seem to exist in V2. The transactions look to exist quite independent from one another. I do see changes in the different versions of the documentation so SAP is working on it.

Please check chapter 22 Sales Orders for example of the latest version of the solution guide : https://help.sap.com/doc/300d71dc3d2141fb8941453f95b85541/CSS_SHIP/en-US/CX_NG_CSS_SalesSolGuide.pdf

  • SAP Sales Cloud Version 2 helps you record and view sales interactions related to sales orders, and it offers
three types of maintenance modes for sales orders:
    • Internal: You can create, search, view, modify, and complete sales orders in SAP Sales Cloud Version 2.
    • Internal & External: You can create, search, view, modify sales orders in SAP Sales Cloud Version 2,
simulate them in SAP S/4HANA, transfer them to SAP S/4HANA, and fulfill them in SAP S/4HANA. On
simulation, you receive results of penny perfect pricing, credit check, and so on. Sales orders with this
maintenance mode are also called bidirectional sales orders.
    • External: You can replicate sales orders from SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP, and you can search and view the
sales orders in SAP Sales Cloud Version 2.

Nowhere it is mentioned in the documentation that after submit or after (external) pricing is exectued succesfully or at a certain phase the sales quote can be converted into a sales order. Nor is there a 'related items' area where a sales order can be linked to an existing sales quote.

You can though create and view an external follow-up SAP S/4HANA sales order from sales quotes. When you have set up integration you should be able to visualize a Sales Orders Section in which you can select + to create an external sales order.

As changes come along fast i would consider the Whats new link on a regular basis as you can easily filter on Sales Quotes and Sales Orders to see what is happening:

I would also advise you to create an incident, mention your aimed quote to order process and ask SAP what is possible now and what is upcoming in this process.
