How hybris send response to third Party as web service response

Hi Expert,

We have some integration related requirement from client. Client want to send RestFul call or web service call to hybris and they are expecting response from hybris in same request.

e.g. Client has uploaded same product in hybris and third party system. Client have BPM process and product validation process. After product validation in third party system they wants to update product status in hybris. For that they wants to send Restful call to hybris, in request they will pass Product Code and Product Status and expecting 200 (if status successfully updated in hybris) as response in same request.

Is hybris framework support this functionality? e.g. using ycommercewebservices Extension
Is it possible to achieve this requirement in hybris?

Many Thanks,

Hi,

OCC module is a very good candidate for this (ycommercewebservices in other words). You might need to add a call to the API but should be very easy to achieve. Then of course you need to think about the security that not anyone should be able to call that and do updates.

Hi Marko,

Thanks for reply.

I didn`t get what are the challenges related to security in OCC Module.

It looks the Commerce Web Services module contains following extensions: commercewebservicescommons extension ycommercewebservices extension ycommercewebserviceshmc extension ycommercewebservicestest extension

Which one is good approach?

Many Thanks,

May be you can go through the SAP Hybris Datahub solution based on, which Hybris Version you are using. You can upload the product in third party system and then write adapter for it, with your product respective data modeling. Then finally passing the product to Hybris Commerce Instance.
It's more like synchronisation of third party database system with SAP Hybris instance.See if you can leverage that.

Hi!

You have three options:

platformwebservices:

  • RESTful

  • very close to the data model

ycommercewebservices:

  • RESTful

  • Rather close to the storefront (using facades)

ywebservices

  • RESTful

  • Rather an empty template for green grass implementations.

Kind Regards,
