Downloading business Partner from R/3 to CRM

Hi All,

Can any one pls help me how to transfer business partner from R/3 to CRM system? If it can be done through ALE pls explain me the detailed step how to do it like wht message type should be used etc. If there are some other way pls let me know.

download of BP will be done from CRM to R/3 will be done and from R/3 to CRM it will be upload

and this process is done through middleware with adaptors and plug ins which build relation b/w R/3 and CRM servers

and before downloading we have to do fielsmaping i.e. which fields are mandatory, optional, that too b/w account group og R/3 and BP role of

CRM this is the process

it requires basic settings and there r two types of downloads they are initial and delta downloads initial is one time activity and delta is ongoing activity where ever u create customer in R/3 it should replicate in CRM and the same case with CRM to R/3

Hi satish,

Business partners can be replicated from R/3->CRM using Middleware. This is the standard process followed for replicating master and transactional data from ERP to CRM. Please go through e notes CR500 for details

Hi Satish

You need to implement 2 best practices for R/3 to CRM connectivity.

You can find the best practices at link http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv340/CRM_DE/BBLibrary/html/BBLibrary.htm

The 2 best practices you have to implement are C71(connectivity) and B09 (replication). I would suggest that you go an follow the steps exactly as mentioned in the best practices instead of just looking at the ones for Business Partners.

After the best practices are implemented the Business Partners from R/3 should automatically get transferred to CRM.

Hi satish,

CR 500 is e-notes (licensed material) of SAP. it is not the OSS notes. You can get it from Service portal. i do not have the latest version of it.
