DataHub, ERP integration pack, semantics of CanonicalProductSalesAreaToCatalogMapping are unclear

Dear fellows

My question refers about the DataHub's ERP integration package, specifically the product (MATMAS, CLFMAS, CLSMAS, etc.) integration part. Have anyone of you got what the semantics behind the CanonicalItem CanonicalProductSalesAreaToCatalogMapping are ? Its mapped from RawHybrisProductSalesAreaToCatalogMapping, however this RawItem is neither defined in the saperpproduct-raw-datahub-extension.xml, nor mentioned somewhere else.. Do you have any idea about it ? Thanks in advance for your help,

RawHybrisProductSalesAreaToCatalogMapping is located in the Data Hub extension sapcoreconfiguration.jar. All raw types extracted from the SAP Integration are located in the same extension. This is mandatory as there is no extension concepts on the platform with dependency to Data Hub's extensions. If the raw types were spread in each extensions, the extraction would report multiples errors for non existing raw types.

Hm, it seems this is a static mapping maintained in /backoffice->SAP Integration->SAP Global Configuration->Product Replication tab, where the mapping from Sales Area(Sales Org+Distribution channel)+Tax country to Catalog version is maintained ...
