campain automation has not started

has anyone had this problem when starting the campaign automation?

1) i created a start node "Survey registration".

2) I create an campaign element "<b>Email invitation</b>".

- Under <i><b>Channels</b></i> tab, details were maintained as follows:-

:1) <i>Communication Medium</i>

2)<i> Form for Email</i>

3) <i>E-mail address</i>

4) <i>Survey</i>

- Under "<i><b>Segment"</b></i> tab,

- "Add Segment"- added TG with BPs having valid e-mail addresses

- Under <i><b>basic data</b></i> tab, details were maintained as follows:-

1) Workflow assigment:- Send Target Group to Channel

3) Created campaign element "<i><b>Collect Responders</b></i>"

- Under "<i>Segment</i>" tab,

1) Add Empty target group

- Under Basic data tab

1) Workflow Assignment : Add BP to target group

2) Check the "start for every responder"

4) Create Decision Node "<i><b>Choice</b></i>?" and maintained the necessary rules.

5) Go to the start node and choose "<i>Status"</i> tab, and change status to "Release" and <i>Save</i>.

6) Click on the "Start" button to start campaign, but instead i get error msg "Campaign has not started".

Does anyone know what is wrong?

Hi,

Kindly check your SCOT settings.

Secondly try to execute this campaign in GUI.

Open your campaing in change mode, in the menu bar, select goto --> Transfer the target group to channel. It will ask for scheduling the job. Choose immediately.

It will work.

Hi Charlene,

Kindly check whether you have maintained the following workflow settings

1. Start campaign process as General task.

Path is IMG>CRM> Marketing> Marketing Planning and Campaign Management> Campaign Automation--> Implement Workflow Customizing

Here select Agent activation and check for the WS14000060 and see is it general task.

hi,

i did as you said and even tried to follow the IDES samples. But in the IDES, everything is the same except for the settings for the folloing:-

1) spro -> marketing -> ....... -> Campaign Automation -> maintain std settings for SAP Business Workflow.

2) then go to maintain additional settings and services = in the IDES, a web server address was maintained for Intranet but in my server no server is maintained. Could this be the case for my campaign not executing?

Hi Charlene,

When i faced the problem it was due to the workflow settings.

But i dont think it should be the cause. But if you change that and then try to run your campaign and it works kindly let me know too. It will be a learning for me as well.

Otherwise i can send across my customization doc. You can check that too.

thank you for being very patient and helpful to me. I am currently waiting for the web server address from the other team but they seem have not gotten back to me for nearly 1/2 day now..

hi rekha,

the basis team finally got back to me and i tried to implement using the web server address they provided and instead, all the buttons in the CA couldn't work..such as "start", "save", "count"...etc...

could u pl tell me the steps involved in doing campaign automation..wat all servers do we need to perform this task..do we have to activate any workflow settings..can u pl explain me from the scratch
