Background PDF File is truncated

Hello Gurus,

I have written a SAP query that has many columns of data.

When this query is ran in the foreground it displays all the data (presumably because it's using an ALV list); but when it's ran in the background and sent to me via e-mail ( This is set using the spool recipient option when setting up the job)

the delivered PDF file is truncated.

I have followed the instructions from the following link

i.e. set up a new format type which is 355 chars wide and also ticked the checkbox (SP01: Number of Columns for List Display from Format) as suggested in the document.

Any ideas Guru's.

Hello raj,

While runing it in the foreground system will not see which format it has, but were has executing in the background it will see the format which is been installed in the system, your landscape might be not supported that format. so better reduce the width of the page you designed and try it will work.

Managed to convince our database team to set up the new format and this seems to have solved the issue.
