Alerts in Worklist

Dear all,

In CRM 7.0. a new functioanlity worklist has been introduced. It has Alert inbox available.

Now we have a requirement where we want to capture Alerts happening for contracts expiring in 30 days and we want to show these alerts inside CRM Web UI in the "Alerts" section in the Worklist.

Please advice if you have any documents or information how this can be done.

It contains a chapter about alerts.

Hi,

1. Configure Alert Management

2. You have to first create a Alert Category using transaction code: ALRTCATDEF

3. Then use this in Action Profile. Select method "Trigger Alert" in processing definition.

4. Assign Alert Category to Action.

However, if you want to make custom changes you need to implement BADI: ALERT_EXIT_LOCAL_PPF

In the BADI which I mentioned write the code about the contract end date condition.

Hi Vinod,

I have done the steps that you have mentioned like...

1. Creation Alert Categories

2. Assigned Alert Category in the Action Profile

but still it is not working, can you please provide me elaborate steps how this can be done...

Hi,

Once you assign the Alert Category to Action profile, you need to write the condition code in the BADI which I mentioned in my previous reply..

Then you need to schedule a job for the action profile so that the action can trigger a alert.
