Dear SAP Community,
We have received a client request to set up variant configuration in conjunction with SAP Commerce Cloud/Composable Storefront (Spartacus).
I understand that the Variant Configuration service operates on the BTP, and we need to incorporate certain extensions into Commerce Cloud to complete the integration.
However, I am currently lacking a comprehensive architecture overview that illustrates how the different systems interact with each other. It would be immensely helpful to have a process flow diagram that starts from a user opening a configurable product in the composable storefront, proceeds to the user configuring the product, and finally, the user adding the product to the cart. Such a diagram would facilitate a clearer understanding of which system is involved at each step of the process and how these systems interact with one another.
Do any of you have recommendations for a suitable introduction to this topic? Or do you have personal experience with Variant Configuration in combination with a headless frontend? Your insights would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your contributions.
Kind Regards
Pascal
