UCES Access

Dear Experts,

We have to do sizing activity for which we want to know that do we use crm licenses to access UCES protal or we need to have ecc licenses for UCES portal access.

I am bit confused over that whether UCES portal is maintained in CRM or in ecc. pls help

Good morning, Rajat - UCES is a NetWeaver Java stack install, not portal. There are two additional components that are installed along with the normal Java stack: CRM Java Data Dictionary and then UCES itself. The UCES piece communicates with teh back-end ECC system, not with CRM. I believe that you should contact your SAP Sales Executive because there is a license required for your customers to be able to access the system, but it is different from a normal user license such as someone within your company.
