Hello,

we have an issue in implementation because the serial id contains a space character, but the standard behaviour is such that only the following values accepted # Alphanumeric, colon (:), hyphen (-), underscore (_), slash(/), backslash(\), dot(.).

Is it possible deactivate input validation checks?

Hello Barbara,

Yes-If you put space in serial number, it will show 'Invalid Serial Number' error and this serial id format can not be

change in standard (as also mention by you).

2.However under Business Configuration->Fine Tune Activity :Additional configurations for Functional Location

/Registered Product->click hyperlink 'Maintain Registered Product Categories'.

=>Here, you can 'Add' Registered Product Category' and for that category set the Serial Number as 'Optional' .
