SAP Service Cloud in an extension scenario with Customer Data Cloud

587

Dear Experts,

Trying to understand the full potential of the Customer Data Cloud I would like your opinion on the below use case.

I have borrowed the below landscape from the OpenSAP course 'Extending SAP Cloud for Customer with SAP Cloud Platform'

If we assume that we are creating a portal and a mobile application that will allow consumers to maintain their tickets in SAP Service Cloud.

Where in the landscape should we place the RaaS (Register as a Service) from SAP Customer Identity service?

I would have use it as a middle step between Mobile Users and Mobile Services and also between Customers and Portal. Is this correct?

If my above assumption is correct, what happens to the Platform Identity Provider ?

The login page of PIP (Platform Identity Provider) should be replaced with RaaS?

How we will maintain the new users from RaaS to C4C?

Can we use the custom SAP Customer Profile service and integrate new users in C4C?

Any suggestions are welcome

Hello,

Overall you are correct, the SAP Customer Identity+Profile solution is a Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solution for B2C (and now) B2B scenarios. The Registration as a Service capabilities would sit between the end users/customers and their client portals, managing self registration and user management capabilities of the portal.

For your internal staff, using the C4C and CP they could continue to use the in place Platform ID Provider as this may be connected to your IAM solution for SSO.

The SAP Customer Data Cloud has various integration options and we plan some pre-built connectors to the C4C (SAP Service Cloud) solutions. Today the Customer Data Cloud supports integrations like Webhooks, API's and flat file transfer through an integrated ETL platform.

Thanks,

Adrian
