SAP Marketing Cloud: Get Communication Category from Interaction_Data in BadI

I am implementing BadI "Revise Interaction Data Before Import" and looking at subscription-related interactions.  Can anyone point me in the direction of how to get the Communication Category ID/description for a newsletter? (e.g. for an interaction of type "NEWSLETTER_SUBSCR")  I assume it's stored somewhere in the INTERACTION_DATA but I can't see which field it would be stored in.

Hello,

You should be able to retrieve the communication category in the table parameter ADDITIONAL_OBJECT_REFERENCES search for an entry with the OBJECT_TYPE equal to 'CUAN_COMMUNICATION_CATEGORY', the field OBJECT_ID should contains the GUID of the communication category. If you need ID or Name of the communication category you can use the CDS view I_MKT_CommunicationCategory to retrieve them.
