Hi Community,
I have followed the steps outlined by SAP for sending sales data to DMF applications. There is this one step that says an RFC destination needs to be maintained. I do not know what the RFC destination should be.
You have maintained the RFC destination of the receiver system by choosing Tasks Additional Details for Outbound Tasks.
The aggregation is working and the aggregate tables are populating. When I run the outbound task, it populates the staging tables. It doesn't move into the table /DMF/SALES and remains in MONITOR IMPORTS on NWBC. Please advise what the RFC destination should be to move the sales data into the DMF table.
I have searched high and low but to no avail.
Thanks.

Paula

Hi Paula,
The table is /DMF/BI_SALES for the staging.
I agree with you, without having an error logged it is rather challenging to identify the issue and some debugging would be needed to figure the root cause. So an OSS is a way to go in that case.

Hi Paula,
In NWBC you should be able to see some error messages for the 6 entries in error status. I would recommend first checking out those and resolve the cause. Then try processing again - the selection 'Sales Data' is sufficient.
The 76 entries should not be locked in processing. You can delete the content of the staging tables by the report '/DMF/DEL_STAGING_DATA' - but that will delete all entries. You can also manually change (no reports or standard functionality for that) the 'PSTATUS' for these entries to 'N' - so that the staging processing would pick these up again.
My recommendation would be:
1. Check the errors and address the issue
2. Try processing the entries again - hopefully those 6 entries will now be in '/DMF/TS_PS'
3. Delete the entries that are stuck in staging ('In Process' status) with the report
4. Resend the data with the Outbound task and process the staging tables again - now all 82 should be in TS_PS

Hi Ildiko,
Thanks for the speedy response.
The errors in NWBC return no exceptions.
I ran a manual deletion on Sales Data using the Manual Deletion option in NWBC. The successful entries remain. Do you know the name of the staging table this information would be in?
The outbound task sends all the data that has been aggregated and closes the aggregate. The data cannot be resent. This is all in DEV so that's fine but there's something definitely missing. Looks like I may need to log an OSS for this as the data is aggregating in the DMF aggregate tables. It does reach the staging tables. It never leaves the staging tables though.
Thanks.

Paula
Hi Paula,
You need to specify the RFC destination in case you are sending the data to another system/client.
In your case however the data is sent within the same system and client, and it is posted in the staging table accordingly.
Now, have you tried processing the content of the staging tables? You can do that either in NWBC, or from se38 running the report /DMF/PROCESS_STAGING_TABLES . After that the entries (if processed without an error) should be posted in the table /DMF/TS_PS - the table /DMF/SALES is deprecated.
Hope it helps!

Hi Ildiko,
Thanks for the clarification about the RFC. I have removed that config completely. I also tried bypassing the staging tables but that didn't work either. Below is a screenshot of NWBC, after the processing of the staging tables. The 6 in error are because of the config change. The other 76 are waiting to be processed but they are now stuck there.
In the processing of the staging tables, I have used both of these options to see if it made any difference as the table you gave points to time series. It made no difference.
Do you have any idea how to get these entries out of the staging tables?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Paula
