SAP C4C Internal Number Range for Sales Quote and Order

We are currently in the process of introducing C4C.

To map the offers and orders, we would like to use the SAP sales number as an internal reference in C4C.

Cause of several number ranges, which are used in our R3 system we run in trouble to set it up in C4C.

Since only one range of numbers can be maintained for offers and orders in C4C, it is not possible to create them according to the scheme in R3.

Number band in R3

Customer offers:

from 1020000000 to 1024999999

from 4020000000 to 4024999999

Customer orders:

1040000000 to 1044999999

4040000000 to 4044999999

1050000000 to 1054999999

4050000000 to 4054999999

The orders and offers should always be created and replicated from R3. A direct creation from C4C is not intended.
So from my point of view we theoretically don`t need an number range logic in C4.

Is there a way how we can set this up in C4?

Regards

Thomas

Hi Julius,

the problem in this case, is that we have several mask which we have to edit.
We also see the internal number in some fixed masks like search result and document flow.

One additonal problem is, that we need the internal number to open the items out of lists.

Hi Thomas,

So if all you transactions are created in R3 and they replicate to C4C, the R3 numbers will come to C4C as external numbers and the internal numbers in C4C will be whatever the system generates.

And you can just hide the cloud Ids (internal ids) from the UI and renamed the external id field to Order Id etc. That way when a user looks at it, the numbers are the same in both the systems.

Are you foreseeing any issues with this?
