Opening a external URL and staying on same page

Hi there,

My requirement is to open a external URL on clicking a hyperlink. I was able to achieve this but my CRM page refreshes and takes me back to role selection screen. I want to stay on the same page(something like keep work area option available for transaction launcher).

I have tried using transaction launcher but the page does not support iframes so I cannot open it in chrome.

Let me know if you have any suggestions.

I opened the new window from the bsp page using java script and it works like a charm.
