Launch BSP from workitem

Hi all,

On CRM start page there is an assigment block showing all workitems of the current user. These workitems contain tasks generated in transaction WF_EXTSRV and start some old BSP pages.When the workitems are started with GUI transaction SBWP (business workplace) the browser starts and shows the BSP application. From WebUI we get only error messages - something (translated) like "Could not open related object WEBSERVICE".

There seems to be missing the 'glue' between WebUI and existing external services.

Could anyone please give me a hint on what is needed to start a BSP application via workitem?

Hi all,

I found a solution for my problem. It is based upon an idea by -  but it is a bit more flexible by using more of the available standard customizing and a launch transaction instead of a component. I tried to publish a Blog with my solution but unfortunately it has been rejected without any comment
