Hello,
I would like to get some information regarding the integration between Emarcys, CDP and CDC.
Here is my problem:
We are a multi brand group, and we would like to have different site groups per brand in the CDC.
Which would mean that a same user would be stored in several database of the CDC.
We will use the user data in Emarcys and we want it to be unified in Emarcys, so that we have one single profile per user. A custom field will inform us on which site the user is registered to.
Is the CDP capable to merge the data of the CDC before sending it to Emarcys?
Thanks,
Guillaume

Hello 131295,
Very nice use-case and the answer to your question is YES.
I've implemented a similar usecase using all CX system and yes, CDP does unify the consumer data in one single place coming from CDC (it doesn't differentiate data based on DC).
I hope this information was helpful in closing this thread.
Thanks and Regards,

Hello Kunal,

Hi Guillaume,
SAP CDP is the right place where you can unify the profiles from different sources.
"Is the CDP capable to merge the data of the CDC before sending it to Emarcys?" -> Yes, exactly. CDP connects customer data from a multitude of sources(including CDC) and organizes and presents the data.
It is a good, scalable solution for you, as it is very easy to enhance new integrations of different sources and keep data unified before moving it to Emarsys f.e.
If we are talking about case CDC -> CDP -> Emarsys, you need:
1) Create 2 Source Connectors for CDC to CDP(to unify profiles, base on email).
Assume you are going to have a case of 2 records in CDC, with the same email(as you have different DBs), but in CDP you want to keep them as one profile with email, but with two different CDC IDs.
So, suggest you configure Matching Rules and Data Quality for your Source Connectors properly(read documentation).
2) After, when the data became unified, you can set up Destination Connector for Emarsys and move your customers there.
Hope it has shed light on this. Wish you a smooth integration process.
