Include custom and standard attributes for messages in WhatsApp campaigns

Hello experts

As is already known, in the construction of a message to be sent by SMS or Email you can include custom attributes

For example, in SMS there is this option in the content studio when building the message to send.

We have built an APP so that from there we can prepare the message that will be delivered to the client

We want to include standard attributes like first name, last name, and custom fields in the body of the message, just like for SMS.

Hello 3li0cent3,

I understand your usecase, and also see your built APP which won't support such feature.

From my experience, I can tell you that it's not possible for such config in SAP Marketing Cloud. Though, In an On-prem, it could have been possible to do some custom code to hardcode the parameter.

I hope this helps.

best regards,

Kunal

Hi kunal_bansal

Thanks for your answer.

It complicates me a bit, because it would not be possible to customize a message, at least the name:

Dear (a) "name" we inform you that you have an outstanding debt for payment.

At least the name that takes it from the target group that is sent.

Have you had any such case? , not necessarily message to Whatsapp.

That you can give me some idea how to attack it and give some proposal.

Perhaps, I suggest to the client to attend the campaign like those of Facebook, that in MKT the campaign is built and it is completed in Facebook adding photos and others.

Another query, in a message you can add emoticons, is there a similar command that while you write the text you can place emoticons?

Best regards

Hi 3li0cent3,

I far as I understand you, it would be easier if you create a Custom Action for Campaign instead of custom app.

That might work, but in custom app, as you don't have access to coding, you can't do much.

What do you mean by custom action?

Do you have an example or where is it configured?

Are you referring to this section:

Not really. You can refer to SAP help page, unfortunately, I don't have SMC system access as of now to share any screenshot.
