New contacts enter the system via a landing page. They are sent a double opt-in confirmation email. If they click on the confirmation link I want to trigger a welcome email with a QR. Apparently there is no standard way to obtain so.
Is that true?
I wonder if a workaround would be to create a parallel campaign that triggers an email to new contacts by using a live target group out of a segmentation that filters only contacts linked to a specific interaction put in the form. This email should be sent with a delay after the registration occours, in order to wait for the confirmation link to be actually clicked.
Is this the best way to obtain what I need or are there other possibilities?
Thanks!

Dear Alessandro,
Allow me to quickly recap. Basically you wish to implement a three step opt-in procedure correct?
1. Pre opt-in
2. Opt-in
3. Welcome e-mail
If that is the case, I would suggest setting up a trigger based campaign based on the interaction type 'Marketing opt-in'. Next you could create a live target groups that serves as a filter. I have implemented this and it should work.
In that target group you can add only contacts that have received the confirmation email based on content ID of the confirmation email for instance. You can also add a dynamic timestamp filter to cover the waiting period of 5 hours.
If I understood you requirement correctly, this should work.
Kind regards,
Jef

I still have some issues with it, please see this https://answers.sap.com/questions/13629071/why-mkt-perm-optin-is-not-set-for-contacts-even-th.html
Once I understand if your solutions apply to my case I will mark your reply as accepted!
