for migrated consent why we are not able to change retention period?

Hello experts,

We are not able to update retention period from parent site.

When we migrated consent solution, at that time configuration is as below:

Parent site : consent - Deactivated

Child Site : Consent - Active

Above sites are configured in US data center.

Now after migration, retention period is displaying warning message.
How to change the retention period?

Hello Rohit,

The info message indicates that the retention period that is configured for the consent statement (e.g. 36 months) differ from the global value that is maintained in the vault (that can be modified via consent vault app).

Currently, by design, it is possible to update consent level retention period only for newly created consent statements (not in edit mode).

Thanks,

Liran

Hi Liran,

Thanks for your answer !

It should retain the global consent value at the time of migration, right?
Is there any way to change it for old consent which are migrated to newer version?

At the time of migration consent vault values were 84 months. After migration it got changed to 36 months, not retained to 84 months.

Also, we can observe expiration date flag in global consent vault,
for grant, renew etc. its 36 moths, but account deletion displays 84 months.

Is this bug or expected behavior?

Thanks,

Rohit

Hello Rohit,

During migration, the consent statement should get its retention period value from the value that is configured in the consent vault (36 months is the default value for newly created sites)

Although not available via console app, It should be possible to update the consent statement retention period value using accounts.setConsentsStatements API.
Thanks,
Liran
