Hi experts,
is it possible to enrich existing permissions with the information to which marketing area they belong? A customer wants to add a second marketing area and currently the existing permissions in their system have no marketing area assigned.
Thanks in advance,
BR Nils

Dear Nils,
We have an application job to Enrich Marketing area for Contact but not at permission level , if you want to enrich permissions with Marketing area , either it has to be done via API or another way is to get all the contacts which has already provided consent without Marketing area and to do a data file load for the same contacts by adding the relevant Marketing area.

Hi Nils,
Also you can find the Permissions with Marketing area only when you activate the use of Marketing area in campaign Execution.
If you want to use marketing areas for campaign execution, you must activate the usage of marketing areas. To do so, open the Manage Your Solution app, and choose Configure Your Solution Application Area: Marketing Sub Application Area: Marketing Item Name: General Settings. Under Configuration Steps search for Activate Marketing Area for Campaign Execution. For more information, see Implications of Activating Marketing Areas in Campaign Execution.

Hi Saravana,
I am aware of the function "use of marketing area in campaign execution".
It is currently disabled in the system I am referring to, because I want to enable it I am looking for a solution to enrich the existing permissions with the marketing area attribute.
Do you mean extracting the permissions then reuploading them with marketing area? How do I extract the data in the first place? Custom CDS view?
And which API would you use to enrich the permissions with MA-information?
Thanks,
BR Nils
Hi Nils,
For API , you can refer Payload Examples | SAP Help Portal and to extract the data , we can use segmentation and create a target group of contacts with permission and then use Export definition to export the same and then we can import the contacts permission using Data file load.

Saravana.
