Email and SMS Opt-in Bidirectional sync between SAP Emarsys and SAP CDP

Hello Experts,

SAP Emarsys has released the Summer 2023 upgrades to the customers.
With this release they have also provided a pilot feature of SAP Customer Data Platform Integration.

Using this feature SAP Emarsys will be capable of syncing Email and SMS opt-in bidirectionally with SAP CDP system along with the Email specific events.

My question is what are the steps required to utilize this feature in SAP Emarsys? Is there any setup needs to be done in SAP Emarsys or is it going to work with some Tactics or do we need to have separate license to get this feature enabled.
Any help here isSA really appreciated.

Hi Govinda,

the guide states that "This new CDP integration with SAP Emarsys Customer Engagement is available for a limited time through the Beta program. For more information, contact your SAP representative."

I had a similar requirement in the past regarding the purpose views feature that I wanted to use.

In the incident that I opened SAP told me that the Beta program is fully booked and I should contact them again in October to re-evaluate the request.

So, my suggestion in your case is also to open an incident or to contact your SAP representative.

Thanks Tobias for your response.
Does this means that to utilize this feature we need to get some add-on in SAP CDP.
I will anyway raise OSS incident to get more understanding on this feature availability.

Hi govinda_0705,

as per my understanding, there's no "add-on" needed as soon as this feature is generally available.

I assume we should find it then in the Applications Library (Sources/Destinations).

If you will receive any further updates from SAP, maybe you can post it here 🙂
