Hi Team,
With much of your help, I understand how to add a new custom locale for CONSENT, But Now I have dependent doubt about the localization. Please see the below details.
Problem Statment.:
Our Customer Has 2 Brands
Each brand has multi-country support. i.e,
Customers for both Brand A and Brand B are common.
Hence I designed the website hierarchy in CDC as Below.
>> Parent Brand
Brand A
Brand B
Now my problem Is, Screenset Localization, Email content for eu.brandA.com will be different from us.brandA.com. I need help to have site-specific Emal Templates and Screenset Localization. That Is Email content for eu.brandA.com will be different from us.brandA.com
Please go through What I have already done and where I am struggling (Emails).
1. Consents: - With V2 Consent, I can create a custom Locale (en_US & en_GB) and I am calling Javascript as below
for the US:
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://cdn.gigya.com/js/gigya.js?apiKey=[INSERT-YOUR-APIKEY-HERE]⟨=en_US"></script>
for the UK:
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://cdn.gigya.com/js/gigya.js?apiKey=[INSERT-YOUR-APIKEY-HERE]⟨=en_GB"></script>
AND IT IS WORKING FINE
2. Screenset : But Created New Custom Locales are not available in ScreenSet Localization. Do I need to create CUSTOM LOCALE again in Screenset level as in the below screenshot? or any other workaround to use the already created locale(For Consent)???
2. How will Email Localization work? I could not see any option to add Custom Locale for Emails. Is there any? If NO, Then how emails will be triggered? what will be the Locale?
NOTE: I am very much new to CDC and That is why I am posting a lot of doubts.
Any help will be appreciated

Hi Eldhos,
1) Great that you have managed to configure Consents and it met your requirements.
2) Screen-Sets
Q: 'But Created New Custom Locales are not available in ScreenSet Localization. Do I need to create CUSTOM LOCALE again in Screenset level as in the below screenshot? or any other workaround to use the already created locale(For Consent)???'
A: New Custom Locales are not available, because you need to configure them separately for Consents, Screen-Sets and Email Templates. Yes, you need to create Custom Locale again for the Screen-Sets and Email Templates.
There are customers who use only Consents(ECPM) functionality of SAP CDC(without Screen-Sets and Email Templates). It's a reason why each feature has to be configured separately.
3) Email Templates
Q: 'How will Email Localization work?'
A: SAP CDC determines which language email template to use when sending an email according to the profile.locale on the user's account.
For example, a user receives an email in Spanish if:
- The site has a template for Spanish, with language "ES".
- A user registers and sets their profile.locale field to "ES" (or the site sets it for them in the registration process).
Note: If a user does not have a value for the profile.locale field, then the default English ("EN") template email is sent.
Q: 'I could not see any option to add Custom Locale for Emails. Is there any?'
A: Yes, this information is here under Customizing Email Templates.
Hope it helped you.
