We created a custom view in Business Application Studio. Besides others, the view filters on a date attribute. Now the requirement is to make this filter dynamic, so that the user can select the specific date range during segmentation.
I tried with an Input Parameter that I insert into the filter expression.
Filter expression with input parameter:
I uploaded the custom view into SAP Marketing Cloud and assigned it to segmentatin. The input parameter is available in segmentation configuration. However, it is not possible to use it in segmentation.
Is there any step I am missing?
Does someone know if the scenario Calculation View + Input Parameter in Segmentation does work at all?
If you have any other solution for this requirement, I am also thankful for your help.

Dear Julia,
I'm afraid you cannot use the input parameters of custom calculation views as you expected to do. Input parameters can only be set for key figure attributes but not for characteristics.
If you configure an input parameter to be visible on the UI it will show up as possible condition for key figure attributes next to the dimensions:
Input parameters are mainly used for score key figures internally. A deep filtering for general segmentation on normal attributes is not possible.
