Hi Guys,
I know about the campaign execution but have some doubt about " campaign Automation" .
Can anyone give some idea about this ? How does it work ? and what steps should i go through to customize it ?
Thanks in advance

Hi Rakesh,
Campaign execution and automation can be used simultaneously. In general a campaign can be executed manually by releasing the campaign in CRM on-line
A campaign can also be automatically executed (automation) using a browser-based interface that allows you to model a completely automated campaign process with follow-up steps.
Here is the best example on campaign automation from sap help :
Lets say that you wanted to send out an invitation to a trade fair to all customers that attended a trade fair last year. This invitation is to be sent out via e-mail. It contains a link to a questionnaire stating whether or not the customer will attend. If the customer replies to say that he will attend, he receives a thank you mail as confirmation. All customers replying to say that they will not attend are gathered up into a target group. Two weeks after the first mail has been sent out, a call list is generated for these customers and they will be contacted to ask why they did not wish to attend.

Hi Rakesh,
1. Prepare a survey (Transaction code-CRMD_MKTRU_SVY). Save the questions and answers.
2.Generate the Valid URL for the Survey. (Ctrl+F12)
3.Customer Relationship Management >Transactions>Settings for Activities-->Define Determination for Questionnaires: Business Activity
in the survey attributes à Technical settings à Interface to application keep the function modules CRM_MKTCA_SURVEY_PBO and CRM_MKTCA_SURVEY_PAI.
Pls. make you questionnaire as active and Put the transactions type as 0000 so that an inbound activity is created in the CRM Server.
4.Creat a mail form for INVITATION TO CAMPAIGN and put his URL in that mail form (Add ++) in the end and create a hyperlink.
5.Create two more mail form for Thank You and Reminder for Survey
6. Attach this mail form-INVITATION FOR CAMPAIGN to the campaign element and execute the campaign.
7. Create a Target group for this campaign.
8. Goto Transaction CRM_MKTPL. Create a campaign with campaign element

Hi Rakesh,
You have to assign the workflow to campaign, but its implicit.
When in campaign element, on tab 'Channels', if you assign, workflow task, automatically a standard workflow is triggered in the back.
for example, you have a workflow task named 'Send target group to channel', which would trigger the workflow to perform campaign element activity for all the BP is target group.
