This blog shows a possibility to unblock a C4C transaction if it is locked by your own user.

In case of an ‘irregular’ termination of C4C -Data records can be locked by your own user.

Here are some examples:

  1. If the unlikely event of a C4C dump or screen freeze forces you to close a C4C session for example with the windows task manager

  2. If the browser dumps /stops working because windows has some trouble

  3. Mobile app crashes

  4. You are logged in on another device and a data record is still open in edit mode.

Currently there is no way for an administrator to terminate a session of a user.

The only possibility to terminate an open session that can’t be accessed any more is the following:

The user who wants to delete a session which is still open in the background has to log on via Silverlight:

Link to start C4C in Silverlight:

The user has to enter a wrong password and press Log on.

Then he gets the message that the Logon data is not correct…

Then the user must enter the correct password….

Then the user has the possibility to delete the open sessions.

This ‘workaround’ is only possible by locking on via the Silverlight link.

It does not work with

  • HTML5

  • RUI

  • Mobile apps

If a user has no possibility to use the Silverlight link- the only possibility to get the open sessions closed is to wait for the automatic termination by the system- which can be configured in the ‘company settings’ via the adaptation mode
