New feature characteristics management

Previously, you could only maintain information in the article root in custom fields. With the new feature release, it is possible to save certain features, for example size, color, gender, in the CCO manager. The new function is divided into the characteristics profiles and characteristics in the cash desk manager.

In order to use the feature management, the following settings are necessary: (Please Note: It is also important to think about the following steps in advance)

  • Which are my characteristics profiles?

  • Which are my characteristics and how detailed should they be divided?

  • Which are the corresponding values in the respective characteristics?

You can, for example create a separate characteristic for each type of size

  • International Sizes

    • Values = XS; S; M; L; XL

  • Kids Sizes

    • Values = 104; 116; 128; 140; 152; 164

  • ..

Alternatively, you can create on generic characteristic, for example:

  • Size

    • Values = XS; S; M; L; XL; 104; 116; 128; 140; 152; 164

  • create a new characteristic profiles in SAP customer checkout manager

  • create a new characteristic - after you have created the characteristics, you can add different values for the characteristic on the value tab

  • add different characteristics for each characteristic profile

characteristic groups

The characteristic groups are used for the feature search in the cash register. There are a maximum of four feature groups. Each characteristic (size; color; gender) can only one group assigned to.

correct example:

  • Characteristics Profile = Parka

    • Characteristic = size (assigned to Group 1)

    • Characteristic = color (assigned to Group 2)

    • Characteristic = gender(assigned to Group 3)

  • Characteristics Profile = Belt

    • Characteristic = size (assigned to Group 1)

    • Characteristic = color (assigned to Group 2)

    • Characteristic = gender (assigned to Group 3

    • Characteristic = fabric (e.g. whole, cotton is assigned to Group 4)

wrong example:

  • Characteristics Profile = Parka

    • Characteristic = size (assigned to Group 1)

    • Characteristic = color (assigned to Group 1 – double)

    • Characteristic = gender (assigned to Group 3)

The advantage of this group feature is, that the cashier knows in which group the correct characteristics can be found. For example, sizes are always in group 1

This is how the BASIC SEARCH will look after

Changes for the basic and advanced search can be made in the dialog settings.
