I am a chemical engineer with 10 years of experience. I want to enter into IT industry as I am not satisfied with my current job. I am much interested to do a SWAP course in PP module and enter into the SAP world. Would this be a good decision that having 10 years of experience in completely different field entering in SAP.? Desperately waiting for your suggestions.

I'm not familiar with the "SWAP" course or what that is.

The best way to get into SAP is to use it on your job; is that a possibility in your current position? You can also take the free courses at OpenSAP - open.sap.com - so maybe take a few courses and see if they interest you

Definitely, learning SAP is an added advantage to your profile but not in terms of monetary benefits considering the fact that once you enter into IT industry, you would be treated only as a fresher
