For the fourth year in a row, SAP sponsored the Lesbians Who Tech Summit in San Francisco.  This year, we had a huge crowd in attendance to hear from presenters, speak with recruiters, view tech demos, watch live interviews, and take pictures.

  • Moya Watson, Product Manager, SAP HCP: Moya believes there’s an inclusion issue across several tech companies, but also believes Lesbians Who Tech changes that with people from all sorts of color, genders, and ages.   • Rachel Ho, Product Marketing Manager, Co-lead of Pride @SAP Canada: Rachel shares how BusinessObjects Cloud is an all-in-one solution where you can disover, plan, and visualize data across analytics solutions, gain insight, and make real-time business decisions.   • Casey Cheung, Product Manager, TripIt: Casey explains how TripIt organizes itineraries, forwards travel plans, and pulls data from emails and organizes information. He also explains there are many integrations with several partners that provide flight alerts, gate changes, or cancellations.   • Gerlinde Zibulski, Head of Product Management Security & Identity Management: Gerlinde discusses imminent security threats happening everyday and the importance of maintaining and growing our security intelligence. She identifies the importance of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in developing and improving security applications and products on all platforms.   • Billie Lynn Ross, Production Operations Engineer, SAP Ariba: Billie Lynn Ross, local diversity champion, talks about her experience at her first LWTS. She is amazed at the amount of people involved in this summit, as well as the explosive ideas and contagious excitement. Billie discusses the importance of SAP’s involvement and sponsorship of events like this, as it demonstrates SAP’s ongoing investment in its employees and more importantly–in diversity.   • Caitie Sullivan, Program Consultant, SAP: Caitie’s role at SAP is recruiting early talent, students, and anyone interested in technical and non-technical roles. She also explains the summer internship program called iXp, and how to become part of Silicon Valley Next Talent during her Periscope interview. During her time as an intern, she felt SAP never treated her like an intern: “I had a seat at every meeting and my voice was heard”.
