Z Tables ans Contents from One Prod Environment to Another?

Former Member

What is the best way to copy Z tables from one production environment to another?

-LSMW?(tyrying to avoid, I don't have much experience with this)

-Custom Program, which I do have available already?

-Transports, via a Basis pipeline?(the easiest, if possible)

Thank-You

Hi Tom,

You should create a transport request, by that you can transport from one production environment to another.

Note:

But this will be done by the basis people only when there is a syatem landscape between the systems.

Reward points if useful.

Cheers,

Hi,

I suggest to use fm RFC_READ_TABLE. Write a common program with selection input as table name . and using this call fm RFC_READ_TABLE from source to target and get target data and update in source.

PS . But in Unicode environment this fm will not work properly

Create a transport request number for the table contents and request basis team to move.. that's the easiest way I prefer.
