Hi

What do you do when the system crashes in the middle of a BDC batch session?

When a program is created and need to be transported to production does selection texts always go with it? if not how do you make sure? Can you change the CTS entries?

How do you do it?

1) no problem, coz records have a status:

-error

-new

-finished

-> so i process only the new ones

There can be a problem with update (terminated)

-> than check trx SM13

2) use r3tr prog to transport the complete program

othw. limu rept for all text-elements

Kiran,

When the system crashes the session at that point of time is saved, so you can simply restart the session.

The text elements are transported along with the report program. You can check in the list of objects associated with the program. Else you can add a line to the tr. request with REPT and the program name.

You can change the CTS entries.

Ravi

That is nothing but terminatiing the session while executing a transaction. The session will be saved that with error. Current and remaining Transactions of that session can be executed later.
