he SAP Memory is a user-specific memory area of the application server, which is accessed by all main sessions of a user session at once. ABAP programs have access to SPA/GPA parameters stored in the SAP Memory (also called SET/GET parameters).

e.g.

Using Set parameter

you can give value of variable (dobj) to parameter ID 'pid'. This will store value in SAP memory

SET PARAMETER ID pid FIELD dobj.

When you want to use that value stored in SAP memory

you can use GET parameter.

GET PARAMETER ID pid FIELD dobj.

The above cannot be used for internal table. Supported data types are (data type C, N, D or T).

Memory-ID is used to save and retrieve the last entered data in the field.

Eg.

EXPORT (ITAB) TO MEMORY ID 'itab'. " in Program A.

IMPORT (ITAB) FROM MEMORY ID 'itab'. " in Program B

Hi,

Get command is used while we deal with Logical Databases.

The individual programs do not then need to know the exact structure of the relevant database tables (and especially not their foreign key relationships). Instead, they can rely on the logical database to read the database entries in the right order during the GET event.

Syntax : GET structure_name

Eg: GET pernr.

where pernr is the structure name.

Farhana.

Put your cursor on GET and press F1. It's where you shoud start.

GET

Event keyword for defining event blocks for reporting events.

Syntax

GET <node> [FIELDS <f1> <f 2>...].

Only occurs in executable programs. When the logical database has passed a line of the node <node> to the program, the runtime environment triggers the GET event, and the corresponding event block is executed. You can use the FIELDS option to specify explicitly the columns of a node that the logical database should read.

GET BIT

Reads an individual bit.

Syntax

GET BIT <n> OF <f> INTO <g>.

Reads the bit at position <n> of the hexadecimal field <f> into the field <b>.
