Upgrading SAP is something that all companies have to face on a periodic basis.

In a technical upgrade, you merely upgrade the SAP system and adjust any existing userexits and configuration only as necessary (e.g. the introduction of Lean WM - warehouse management - gave Business Sponsors the choice to implement Lean WM with it's relatively minor changes or use the old configuration without any negative impact).

The objects that are needed to be upgraded are:

Includes

Function Groups / Function Modules

Programs / Reports

OSS Notes

SAP Repository Objects

SAP Data Dictionary Objects

Domains, Data Elements

Tables, Structures and Views

Module Pools, Sub Routine pools

BDC Programs

Print Programs

SAP Scripts, Screens
