Hi ,

We are on SAP 4.6C and We have lot of queries created by user using Transaction SQ01 and SQVI. Now we have to transport all those queries to Quality and development system. Please let me know what is the best procedure to Transport the Queries from Production to Quality/Development system.

Hi Aman,

IMHO, the quickest way to transport infosets and/or queries is this one:

At the source system:

1. enter tx SQ02

2. go to Environment > Transports

3. download the queries/infosets into a file

At the target system:

1. enter tx SQ02

2. go to Environment > Transports

3. upload the queries/infosets from the file

Easy, isn't it? ;-D Pls let us know if it helped. BR,

yes, this is one way to do. But I'm searching for transporting it , by creating a tranpost request number.

Is anyone familiar with that??

To have query transports generated automatic the way you do for other objetcs like programs / tables , just create the query in Glogal Area ( Client independant ) .

Queires have two area standard ( client dependant ) & Global . This setting can be changed in SQ01 itself .

For standard area queries you can use the methods listed above in this post . If you create query objects in Global area no need to bother about transports , system will automatically prompt for it.

If you read the documentation on report RSAQR3TR , it explains the procedure to transport queries from one system to another.

We have used the transport route to move queries from Prod to quality to dev , do let me know if yo need further help.
