to determine the count when range is present in the select option

hai!

i want to know how we can determine the count(number of values) when range is present in the select option.

If the option is BT

TO find the count field-HIGH - Field-LOW.

refer my reply in the other thread

select <field>

from <master table>

into table itab

where <key field> in <range/select-option> .

describe table itab lines v_lines.

or

count = sy-dbcnt.

depends on what field the range table is built on?

for example if it is for plant, then you can find out the count by doing a select on T001W.

Select count(*) from T001W

into l_count where werks in s_werks (select option).
