Hi ,

Could anyone give me an overview of SAP support packs and the objects in the support packs for the version 4.6c.Your answer helps me a lot.

Hi,

SAP support packs are applied to correct issues/bugs in the objects. It mainly list of OSS notes and objects that are getting applied to the system. To view this information go to service marketplace and display the list for the support pack you are interested in.

The support packs are available across various components like ABAP, APPLICATION, BASIS, PLUG INS ... You need to decide which support pack to be applied. Sometimes they have pre-requisites like other support packs to be applied also.

Steps: -

Download the support pack from service marketplace, import using SPAM transacton, Apply in test mode to see if there are any issues else apply the support pack directly and finally test your SAP business processes to see if they are impacted. SOme tools are available in the market that can show you the impacted business process by the support pack.
