Problem with "'" in sap ECC6

Former Member
0 Kudos

Hi,

I got an error message after the upgrade to ECC 6

The message is the following :

In Release 4.0, the special character "'" - as here in the name "'TEXT_FIELD'" - is no longer allowed.

How declare a text field?

Does anybody have this message.

Do you know how solve it

Thanks

The code is

IF toto EQ 'X'.

The problem is from the "'X'"

Specially char '

There should be no problem with the following statement.

IF toto EQ 'X'.

Endif.

Where are you seeing '''X'''?

WE SHOULDN'T BUT WE GOT IT :s

the code is exactlly the one you give me.

IF toto EQ 'X'.

Endif.

I guess the problem is from the systeme ECCV6

What do you think of that?

So you are saying that you are getting a syntax error on the following code?

I am not getting any syntax erros from this code. Try getting rid of the references to <b>" BF1262</b>

Check if it is double quotes or two single quotes there before BF1262. As Rich suggested, get rid of it completely.
