Only one user is facing problem with exporting data while others can do it

Hi All,

One user is facing problem in exporting data.He is not getting any option in dropdown box ( List->Export ->Spreadsheet -> [by selecting] all available formats ).

User is facing problem with t-code CJI3.

Other users who have same authorizations, can get the options in drop down menu and they can export the data in XML format successfully.

The user who is facing problem and other users tried to export data in same laptop.

Can anyone provide input on this issue?

Some suggestions :

1.Check both the users' parameter setting and spool setting (under defaults tab - SU01)

2.Customized local layout settings

Sujit's suggestions sound likely - common problem with the standard output instead of ALV grid list.

Hi,

- use SU53, are there missing authorization ?

- look at all roles/ profiles attached to that user > authorization object S_GUI > do they have activity "61" for download data ?

if this checklist above is OK, then try to delete that user, create it and assign the same role to them.

Do a trace of the user who can download the file with transaction ST01

- Menu - Edit - Filter - Shared - Enter UserID

- Tick Auth. Checks

- Save and Activate

Do an analysis of the trace file and see which objects are called while user is downloading the file. Then compare with other users.

I wonder if user settings (ALV gridlist) shows up in a trace? My first thougt was that this was the issue but I think we also need to know that the comparisons across users in SUIM has been verified and that the data entered is exactly the same and the output looks exactly the same? Using the same laptop took that GUI thingy out of the equation...I'm rashly discounting direct profile assignments, reference users and pixie dust.

can export the data in XML format

I usually export as local file and use excel to open and use delimited '|' and not XML - I've only ever used it for GRC outputs in excess of 65536 rows - why are you using .xml please?

Hi,

You can extract data by entering "%pc" where we put tcode.

one thing may be user parameter....otherway can this be user buffer issue? if these are not working then try consult functional people if there is any settings that allow selected user to download data in CJI3. Like PO approver must be a possible agent if proper wrkflow is in place.

Hi all,

After clicking on Spreadsheet ,there is no format reflecting in drop down menu. (usually others are getting XML, XLS, or Sap standard formats etc.)

Traces or SU53 is not showing any records.

@David,

User wants to export data in XML format only. In this format datas are present in formatted way.

Saving the data as local file is possible. But i am trying to find out why different formats are not visible for a particular user.

Hi,

Goto SE38 -> Execute this program: SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN

Select General Data Tab -> Detail Selection -> Fill Client & User details -> Execute.

Check if the record exists -> Select that and delete that row.

This should resolve, your issue.

Hi Parth,

I have already checked the report by executing SE38. There is no data present.

If any format is personalized by user, then only any record will be available in report generated by executing SE38 and program SALV_BS_ADMIN_MAINTAIN.

Here in my case, for user ,any format is not reflecting after clicking on List-> export->spreadsheet->all available formats .

By selecting "All available formats" different formats should be visible in drop down menu. But for a particular user, nothing is visible in drop down menu.

This is the exact problem.
