Need to change label description

Hi guys need your help,

In pa30, infotype 0185, i need to change a label description for screen field P0185-ICOLD.

Currently it is describeing in its original description. How can i change it to another description that i want?

Tcode: CMOD->Menu->Goto->Text Enhancements-> data element......

Actually i am not meaning the text that when i need description...

I am referring to the label of field.. I want to change label of a field in a screen...

For example,

IC Old Number : [ input box ]

change to

IC Old : [ input box ]

Hi William,

You are absolutely right. I have also changed label of a field on a screen inside of an application in SRM module. Again i am telling u to follow the same path:

CMOD:->SAP Menu ->Goto ->Text Enhancements ->Keywords ->Change -> "Provide the name of the data element used for that particular field on that screen" -> Make ur desired modifications. and proceed to save the changes.

Hi Pulokesh Karmakar,

Though the it did change the labels... but the standard program in PA30 for infotype 0185 the label did not change to the latest. The standard program's label was hardcoded in the SE80 object label properties. Thus to change the label will require access key to modify it.

The functional had decided not to change it at all...

Anyway... i learnt a new thing from you! Thanks for the patience. I know i should have provided feedback to you as soon as possible.

However, your solution should have solve the problem dynamically if the properties is linked to the field.
