Need BAPI to get the F4 values for a table field.

I tried executing the FM BAPI_HELPVALUES_GET with values:

OBJTYPE = BUS6030

METHOD = POST

PARAMETER = DOCUMENTHEADER

FIELD = COMP_CODE

where DOCUMENTHEADER is a structure

I get the 128 values for F4 of the the field

Now I execute the same FM with following values:

OBJTYPE = BUS6030

METHOD = POST

PARAMETER = ACCOUNTGL

FIELD = GL_ACCOUNT

where ACCOUNT GL is a TABLE.

I get some error.

I need a BAPI so get the f4 value for this field in the tab;e .

Thanks in advance

First read this documentaion ; [Providing Input Help (F4 Help) |http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bw/helpdata/en/a5/3eca044ac011d1894e0000e829fbbd/content.htm], then try to use BAPI_HELPVALUES_GET or HelpValues.GetList() with more selection criteria.

Or can you provide the error code returned ?

Raymond

Hi,

You can use FM GET_DOMAIN_VALUES fo rthis purpoe..

you have to pass the domain name to this..

and at table field level u can use the FM SCTM_GET_TAB_FROM_DATA_ELEMENT.

Thanx

Dude that does not solve the problem.

I need the FM to get the F4 Values of the Field in the Table that is passed as an importing parameter or in the Tables tab in SOME BAPI.
