Hi,

I just want to make sure that whatever I understood is correct.

To use a given IDOC the linking should be as follows:

Process code to Posting program to Message type to IDOC type.

Corrct me if I am wrong.

Hi,

the general identification is IDoc->message type->process code->posting program

Thanks.

So where do you link process code and message type ?

Hi Rajesh,

the linkage will happen in WE57 Transaction code.

Coming to the settings part, In inbound side, If you click on the Sender system-->Inbound parameters, there you can find the message type which links to the process code that links the Inbound FM.

In WE42 the process code is linked with posting program.

But the thing is you have link the inbound parametes(WE20)

pls mark.

Thanks

Hi Rajesh,

In Outbound side:

Message type will be linked to IDOC type

In Inbound side:

Message type will be linked to Process code, and the process code will be linked to the Inbound FM(Posting program).

Check in the transaction code WE57.

Pls mark if it helps.

Thanks

In WE57, MEssage type is linked to posting program (function module) and not process code. So I am wondering as how the message type can be linked to process code ?

Hi,

If you check partner profile for edi-setup in the system .Inbound parameters -> details screen should show you the details of process code linking to function module .

WE42,WE41 ,we57 are basic entities which you link in partner profiles.

Thanks.
