How to set user responsible of changing operation status

Hi all,

I publish a web service from my application.

A generic user is defined for the webservice authentication.

This webservice allows the consummer to change  the operation status. the abap code is using fm  CO_RI_CONFIRMATION_CREATE to achieve it.

My request is that the uname in JCDS is the generic user (sy-uname) and not the real user id.

I can receive the real user id in my webservice data, but how can I save it in JCDS ?

Thx all.

I don't believe there is an option to "trick" the system into thinking that update happened by another user. It works the same way in many other transaction - the current system ID is captured and stored. Breaking into this functionality might actually be frowned upon by the audit.

If this information is indeed required (frequently it really isn't) it'd need to be captured somewhere else, e.g. a custom change document or maybe just store it where this web service originates instead of SAP.
