How to define password field

How do I define a password field in a module pool screen painter,where it should display only asterisk on value entry?

Hi Anita,

in the screen painter, in the properties fields of the particular field under the display tab click on the invisible check box.

Hi,

in PBO use following logic

loop at screen.

if screen-name = <'PASSWORD FIELD'>. "Name of the field given on the screen.

screen-invisible = 'X'.

modify screen.

endif.

endloop.

do like this.

for password field follow below procedure...

parameters: P_pass(10).

at selection-screen output.

loop at screen.

if screen-name = 'P_PASS'.

screen-invisible = '1'.

modify screen.

endif.

endloop.

hi,

To set it as password field, add the below code in the PBO of the screen:

loop at screen.

if screen-name = 'text box name'.

screen-invisible = '1'.

modify screen.

endif.

endloop.

and it must in selection-screen output.

Hi Anita,

In PBO of u r screen,

do the code as follows

LOOP AT SCREEN.

CHECK SCREEN-NAME = 'FIELD'.

SCREEN-INVISIBLE = 1.

MODIFY SCREEN.

ENDLOOP.

this will make u r field as Password field.
