Hi Arjun,

Being an ABAP er i am telling you i am also not too satisfied .And another importent thing is ABAP field is very rapidly changing because SAP allowed JAVA as a development language from ECC 5.0.

Although there will be some development in future also based on pure ABAP ,but frankly speaking most of the developments will be based on OOPS ABAP and ABAP WEBDYNPRO (for UI development ).

So it will be better to think for future as early as possible.

Another thing i must say,If you are not getting enjoyment working in ABAP,then you must change your module....because you can't go far if you are not enjoying your work...

You can think for BI ( I must say future is really good) or any Functional module ( SD or MM will be better, because thease modules are very easy to learn and it does not require any domain knowledge .)

Best of Luck.

Hi,

Any job has it's own pro's & con's.Regarding Functional,it depends on your area of interest, expertise.Try for SAP HR or FI.
