delete entries from DB view

Hi Gems,

I need to delete all the entries in the DB view V_USCOMPA .. Whats the better way to do it?

its not possible untill you delete the entries in the underlying tables.

Have a look at FM BAPI_COMPANY_DELETE

But bear in mind that it is neither released nor documented.

Hi Dan,

what is the reason to delete entries? It is not possible to delete records in the view but you can specify some contidions in view in the way that your already existing records will not match the condition. For example if you have counter ID for the records from 1 to 1000 you can specify to get records from counter ID value from 1001 ...

Hi Dan,

View is just having the structure as you designed. It does not contain any values as such.. just only the

structure. So you cannot delete the values from View.

You need to get the records into internal table and delete the records in the Database table based on the records

of internal table.

But in case of Maintenance View you can delete the records directly.
