Hi,

I have written some <b>field code</b> for an additional InfoSet field using transaction SQ02. How can I debug it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi elvez,

1. The query is nothing but

a program generated by the system.

2. execute the query

3. a selection screen will appear.

4. enter /H (debugging mode)

and proceed.

Thanks Amit,

I'm a bit lazy. Is there a button for adding break-points in the coding at design time?

in the abap editor itself there is a red button named 'stop' ..

just place the cursor and click that button....

Hi again,

1. At the time of design of query,

there is no such facility.

My question was related to transaction SQ02. Where in SQ02 do I find the "STOP" button?

Hello Elvez,

at the design time write in Break-point at the place where u have put in code.

However u will have to delete it and regenerate the query once the job is done.

Otherwise what u can do is go to sq01, select the query to execute open another parallel screen with SE38, and it will display the program name of the query. Open the program and click on the breakpoint button where ever u want the program to stop. Regenerate the program and go back to the query screen and execute, it should stop at the location.

Thank you all for your helpful answers, which confirmed my suspicion that there is no design time debug button in SQ02.
