Hi All,
I recall in version 4.0 of R3 an option called copy session which allowed you to view another users session. This option seems to have been taken away in newer version.
Does anyone know of another way of interactively looking at another users session,
Kind regards,
James Mandikos.

Hi James,
Instead of using RSM04000_ALV program i.e. SM04 transaction use RSM04000 program directly from SE38.
Thanks

Hi Lakshman,
The option is there but we get a message 'Cannot take over a users session'. Not sure whether this is due to an authorisation issue on my side. I'll show the su53 to our security people.
Thanks for your help.
Rgds,
James Mandikos.

Hi James,
Sometime back I have invested a lot of time and effort trying to do exactly what you're now up to !!
Unfortunately, I have not been able to do it. I have done a lot of debugging and tried to do that in some way or the other, but in vain. The reason, if I remember correctly, is that the code responsible for that action is not even there in the higher releases. That is presumably for reasons of security.

Anand Mandalika.

Hi James,
As far as I know this functionality is kernal functionality and has been removed since 4.5X and higher versions I think.
I am trying to find the OSS note that specifically talks about it. I will post it as soon I find it.
I saw some excellent ABAP coding to do exactly the same, but again, I have to find where that is.

I can only confirm that I onced used the functionality with the old RSM* Programm and accidently kicked the user off the system - so it definitely did not work on our 46c system.
