Im trying to make program which convert the column status which contain traffic light icon into a colored cell. I've already convert the table into a dataset so using OLE is no longer possible as it will need me to open the excel. the dataset is purposely to be an attachment to an email

Could you give more detail on what method are you using to export to excel. There are some way to achive but it should be compatible with what you are doing.
