career move from abap to master data management

hii Friends

i want a suggestion .

I am working as abapper for the past 1 year.I am sap certified development consultant.

I HAVE GOT OPTION TO Switch to MASTER DATA MANAGEMENT.

i just wanted to know that whether it would be a good move or not.

Please guide me .

Having 'I am working as abapper for the past 1 year.I am sap certified development consultant' is not a lot of experience of SAP anyway. So going to MDM that earlier is neither a good thing or a bad thing.

I dont know much about MDM.

So can u can u please let me know taht what do we basically do in MDM.

what are the advantages as in career advantages.

i am a abaper for 6 months and then i came to data migration process for 6 more months, where i learnt the over view of the sap and what goes on the over head.

i have same idea as you moving to master data management.

i wanna know if you switched to it and if so then how did it go and how weel did you succed and how do you guide others on the same decission.
